Vedic Mathematics

Vedic Mathematics  is a book written by the Indian  monk   Swami Bharati Krishna Tirtha and first published in 1965. It contains a list of  mental calculation  techniques claimed to be based on the  Vedas . The mental calculation system mentioned in the book is also known by the same name or as "Vedic Maths". Its characterization as "Vedic" mathematics has been criticized by academics, who have also opposed its inclusion in the Indian school curriculum.

ALGEBRA

ALGEBRA        Algebra  (from  Arabic   "al-jabr" , literally meaning "reunion of broken parts" [1] ) is one of the  broad parts  of  mathematics , together with  number theory ,  geometry  and  analysis . In its most general form, algebra is the study of  mathematical symbols  and the rules for manipulating these symbols; [2]  it is a unifying thread of almost all of mathematics. [3]  It includes everything from elementary equation solving to the study of abstractions such as  groups ,  rings , and  fields . The more basic parts of algebra are called  elementary algebra ; the more abstract parts are called  abstract algebra  or modern algebra. Elementary algebra is generally considered to be essential for any study of mathematics, science, or engineering, as w...

MUSIC AND MATHEMATICS

MUSIC AND MATHEMATICS.              Music theory  has no  axiomatic  foundation in modern  mathematics , yet the basis of musical  sound  can be described mathematically (in  acoustics ) and exhibits "a remarkable array of number properties". [1]   Elements of music  such as its  form ,  rhythm  and  metre , the  pitches  of its  notes  and the  tempo  of its  pulse  can be related to the  measurement of time  and  frequency , offering ready  analogies  in  geometry . The attempt to structure and communicate new ways of composing and hearing music has led to musical applications of  set theory ,  abstract algebra  and  number theory . Some composers have incorporated the  golden ratio and  Fibonacci numbers  into th...

ABOUT DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS.

In  mathematics ,  differential calculus  is a subfield of  calculus [1]  concerned with the study of the rates at which quantities change. It is one of the two traditional divisions of calculus, the other being  integral calculus , the study of the area beneath a curve. [2] The primary objects of study in differential calculus are the  derivative  of a  function , related notions such as the  differential , and their applications. The derivative of a function at a chosen input value describes the rate of change of the function near that input value. The process of finding a derivative is called  differentiation . Geometrically, the derivative at a point is the  slope  of the  tangent line  to the  graph of the function  at that point, provided that the derivative exists and is defined at that point. For a  real-valued function  of a single real variable, the ...
